July 2002:
In 1997 our Anya had her second litter, and we kept a bitch - Lauvstuas Janis Joplin. Unfortunately Janis had HD, so she couldn't be used for breeding. But Janis' sisters were all healthy, and two of them, Julie (NUCH Lauvstuas Julie Fox) and Micro (NUCH Lauvstuas Jøye Meg) became champions. So since Janis couldn't be used for breeding, we planned to get a bitch puppy from Julie. Julie was bred to NUCH Sunlit Kevin McTawish, father to Lauvstuas first litter, and the combination was very interesting. But things do not always turn out the way you want them to: Just two puppies (one male and one bitch) were born in Julie's first litter, and only the male survived. So what were we to do? It wasn't certain that Julie would have another litter, and it also turned out to be Kevin's last litter…
We ended up co-owning the male together with Kennel Sunlit, and he was named Take A Chance On Combi, or Chance for short.
Januar 2004:
Chance is now 20 months old, and he's maturing nicely. He's got a lovely temper, and he is not aggressive towards other males. He's kind, active and he loves people, especially kids. We're hoping that he can be trained more regularly next year, because we believe he has a good potential as a working dog. Chance's hip score is A (excellent), and he will also be DNA-tested in the future. Since his mother Julie is DNA-tested A, Chance must be either A or B.
Chance hasn't attended many shows yet because he needs time to mature. He has won a BOB Puppy and he got a 1st prize in Junior Class at the Norwegian Tollerspecialty 2003.
November 2006:
We had further plans for Chanche with game tracking, but in January 2005 the co-owners moved to the eastern part of Norway and we lost some of the contact with the dog.
But Chance is having a good life with his family, still he has a lovely temper and is healthy.
We could have wanted to use him for breeding, but he is too close related to our bitches, so we have to wait. Hopefully there will be a possibility later on.
Chance has devloped nicely and we have to take him to some shows in 2007, the distance makes it difficult, but we have to try.
May 2008:
Chance has now been to a new show, it went very well with res. CC and 4th best male out of totally 46 tollers.
June 2008:
Thinks happens and with a divorse in his family, we have to find a new home for Chance. At the moment he is living at Sunlit kennel, and he just moved in without any problems. He is really a good boy.
